Draft TSBR Common Policy Framework and Coordination Mechanism

Common policies proposed by the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve (TSBR) Secretariat provide the basis for integration of TSEMP project components and a consensus-based approach toward management of the Lake’s assets. These common policies (common in the sense of shared in common by stakeholders) provide a platform for coordination and common action to promote sustainable resources development and biodiversity conservation and minimize resource use conflict.

The Common Policy Proposal

There are 34 common policies addressing specific resource management issues in three categories: conservation, sustainable development and research. These categories conform to the objectives for the TSBR established under the Royal Decree.
